On April 12th, we’ll celebrate the two-year anniversary of the St. Charles County Veterans Museum (SCCVM).  In 2020, the museum welcomed about 900 guests to the museum.  Since we opened in 2019, we’ve drawn about 2500 visitors.  No doubt, COVID reduced the number.

The museum was the dream of Ralph Barrale.  Part of his dream was to educate school children about the sacrifices made by our veterans.  And to remind all that visit the museum, that FREEDOM IS NEVER FREE.

With our plans coming together, we hope to expand our reach and build on the momentum.

Our 2021 Plan Includes:

Redesigned Website

Last year, we launched our new website.  Though exhibit space is limited, we are planning ways to “virtually preserve” the stories of our veterans.  We are in the process of placing all exhibits and stories on this website.  Stories are being added daily.

Membership Drive

Soon, we’ll launch a membership drive.  Memberships start as little as $35.00 a year.  Plus, membership has its benefits. The SCCVM’s sustainably for the years ahead is dependent on a strong base of members.  Please, consider becoming a member.

Facebook

We post regularly on Facebook.  You can “Like us” and share our stories on your Facebook page. In 2021 you’ll see “Facebook Live” posts and Podcasts.

Share Your Story

Reach out to local veterans and encourage veterans to share their story.  Every veteran has a story…worth telling.    Ask about our Oral History Program.

Volunteer “in the Business”.

The museum’s needs today, are vastly different than when we opened.  Ralph’s Barrale’s dream, became a reality in 2019.  The dream has became a business and needs a strong business plan to grow and complete the mission.  We’re looking for volunteers.  Volunteers can work remote and work at their own pace.  We’re looking for:

  • Fundraising Coordinators
  • Event Planners
  • Publicity & Public Relations Coordinator
  • Grant writers

None of these positions require more than a 5-10 hours a month.

Sponsors

Corporate Sponsors are needed to reach our goals in the years ahead.  On the website are sponsorship options.  We can also create a custom sponsorship package based on your budget.

Thank you for your consideration.  Here is my contact information.  Please call if you have questions.
