World War II Hero Tells His Story!

Paul “Bud” Haedike is a World War II veteran who flew 23 missions as a bombardier on a B-17 Flying Fortress. Bud and the crew were shot down on his first mission. Bud shared his exciting story with our museum guests on December 28th. Bud recruited a young man from the audience to “fly a mission.” Harrison was a great sport and remarked, “the equipment made him sound like Darth Vader!” Thank you, Harrison!

Look for another night with Bud in February.
