Dogs for Our Brave

Saving the life of a veteran by saving the life of a dog

Dogs for Our Brave

Left to right is, Bridgette, Jay, and Shannon

Today we met (L to R) Shannon, Jay, and Bridgette with Dogs for Our Brave.  Shannon and Bridgette took a turn reading the names of the fallen at Pearl Harbor.  Jay though trained very well, just observed.  Their mission is to provide professionally trained service dogs at no cost to veterans who have suffered debilitating injury or illness while in service to our country.  Their goal is to use rescue dogs at every opportunity, thus saving two lives at once. To fully realize the mission without adding financial burden to our veterans, they also provide a continuum of free support that covers all food, veterinary care, and pharmaceuticals for the life of the dog.
