Museum Dedicates New Memorial!

Dedicated August 27th 2022
Fallen 13 Memorial Dedicated

We’re very proud of the new Fallen 13 Memorial on the grounds of the museum.  After hearing the news of the suicide bombing August 26th 2021, Kevin and Linda Hundhausen of Fredericktown Missouri were moved to build a memorial honoring our fallen 13 heroes and to make sure they were always remembered.  Kevin and Linda contacted Jeff and Kevin of Parkland Monument Company in Farmington Missouri and began to design a fitting memorial.

Kevin and Linda fundraised and with the help of citizens of Fredericktown and Parkland built the memorial. They wanted the memorial to reside here in St. Charles County.

Our founder, Ralph Barrale said, “No one is ever gone as long as someone has memories of them.”  We couldn’t think of a more fitting location than here on the grounds of the museum.

You can read their stories on our website at, www.stcharlescountyveteransmuseum.org

Kevin and his family joined us to dedicate the new memorial on August 27th.
