On Thursday night, the local Army recruiting office in St. Peters brought in 12 candidate recruits to the museum.  The recruits were given a tour of the museum and later “treated” to a dinner of MRE’s (Meals Ready to Eat) courtesy of the U.S. Army.  The recruits were furnished custom Army face masks sewn by Nancy Milliken of the Caroline Close Stuart Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). It turns out one of the recruits; Jackson, is Nancy Milliken and Jim’s and grandson.  Also representing the DAR was Karen Wisner (Regent) and Jean Lorenz.  St Charles County Veteran Museum volunteers, Craig Stankovich (Army), Art Minor (Air Force), Ralph Barrale Jr, (Navy) and Eric Larson were on hand to offer encouragement.  Thank you for serving!
