Fernando “Fred” Louis Dasbach

Fernando “Fred” Louis Dasbach was born 16-MAR 1923 in Hamburg Germany.  His mother was Emma Dasbach.  He departed Germany on October 11th sailing to the United States when he was 11.  He arrived on the ship SS Albert Ballin in South Hampton on 19-OCT 1934.

Fernando Louis Dasbach served in the U.S. Navy enlisting on 4-NOV 1941 just days before Pearl Harbor was attacked and World War II began.   Fred joined the Navy as a Seaman and later joined the Air Force.

Fred achieved the rank of Major in the U.S. Air Force Reserves by 1968 and had a security clearance of “SECRET” while serving at the Department of the Air Force Headquarters Command at Bolling Air Force Base in Washington, DC.
