Kurt F Seeler was born 16-NOV 1919. His father was Charles Edward Seeler (1878-1952). His mother was Welhelmina Meers (1879-1971). He had two brothers; Francis and Vernon and one sister; Verda. Kurt married Marjorie and lived with his parents at 1109 Madison in St. Charles MO. He was a service station attendant. He enlisted 17-NOV 1942. He was a SGT in the Army Air Corps, 7500 USAF. Kurt was a waist gunner on B-17 Flying Fortress and was killed in a crash in Brazil. The Post-Dispatch reported that Kurt was Killed in Action 10-AUG 1944. However, the Army report indicates DNB (non- battle death). Kurt died in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil. Brazil was an ally in World War II. Kurt Frederick Seeler is buried in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in St. Charles.
