Joseph Skinner

Joseph Skinner was born 7- 1894.  His father was Alfred Skinner, and his mother was Lydia Keen Skinner.  He had four siblings.  His occupation on his draft registration was listed as truck farming.  He was a Private 1st Class in Company K, 65th Pioneer Infantry.  Pioneer infantry regiments were formed during the World War I Era to serve as road maintenance troops but were often used as labor for anything that needed to be accomplished.

Joseph Skinner was discharged 7-DEC 1918.  He died 25-MAY 1933.  His cause of death Is listed as suicide, a gunshot wound.  He is buried at Saint Charles Borromeo Cemetery.
