Dear Friends of the Museum,
No doubt 2020 was a challenging year for all of us. Here at the museum, we are struggling to implement our 2021 plans.
In July of 2020, Jim, a Vietnam Veteran, generously donated a 1959 Willy’s Jeep to the museum. We understand the Jeep is also a “Vietnam Veteran” and was deployed to South Vietnam.
Since then, we have been trying to make some needed repairs. We recently discovered the engine and transmission need a major overhaul. We have been unsuccessful in securing the services of a local garage willing to donate labor or parts to repair the Jeep. We’ll continue to look, but it is likely the museum will be responsible for the cost of the repairs.
This fundraiser is to restore our Jeep and get it road ready for the upcoming parade season. We are asking for donations to raise money to cover the repairs. Our goal is $2,000.00. No donation is too small (or too large?). We’ll recognize all “Willy’s Friends” on our website, Facebook and at the museum.
Thank you!
